I have told a lot of people that programming to me is like playing a game to most others. I enjoy spending hours on end sitting in front of the computer writing code. And now I am adding PHP and MySQL programming to my bag of tricks. With these two items I can program web interfaces to back end databases much easier then with Microsoft’s VB.NET.
I still do a lot of programming using Visual Studio 2005 for Windows programs and I normally tie those into Access database back ends. Maybe one day I will use VB on the front side and MySQL on the back end for the data ware house.
If you have never tried to program and would like to learn more I would suggest the largest programming book in the World: GOOGLE!
