Someone once told me that you should never blog about your own life? I enjoy showing that we are normal everyday people. I took a few days and worked at getting the stair case ready for new carpet to be laid.
I don’t mind doing home improvement projects I just wish I was a little more handy? I am a computer guy by trade and I can build them, program them and even once made a computer sing! But put me in front of a saw and I can be very lost. I did get it done and I have a few spots to maybe redo; but over all it came out fine.
There are just times when a man has to do what a man has to do. I wanted to hire someone to come out and remove a couple trees for me until I was told of the price. When a family is on a limited budget and you try to watch every dollar you need to sometime do things for your self.
I pulled out the ladder and the chain saw. Up the ladder I went and began to chop away at each branch. As each one fell I felt I was getting closer to that golden time of being finished.
Then we watched as the clouds began to move into the area and the lighting bolts started to fly. Being on a ladder was no longer an option. So I removed it until another day.
Here is a couple pictures of the tree coming down.
Over the weekend my friend and I installed this new whole house humidifier. The entire job took about 4 hours with only 4 trips to the hardware store! Now I have to find a current sensor so the thing will turn off once in awhile.
Now I know why people charge so much for these little tables! This project has been taking about 2 weeks on and off. You just have to wait so long for glue or paint to dry. But it is coming out nice and will be a nice addition to our kitchen.
This is a project I have been working on this week. It is a little table my wife wanted for our new kitchen. I grabbed some wood with a idea in my head and came up with this. Getting ready for some paint and stain.
Building a new deck is really time consuming. I think every bone in my body is hurting in some form. And it always seems like I am fighting against the rain drops. I hope to get the decking on today, but they are once again calling for rain.
As you can see my 2 week project is completed. I also finished the Thompson water treatment which I have to get some pictures of. My one suggestion is when you start a project like this, what ever you think it will cost add a few hundered dollars to the plans.
